Many thanks to you all for coming to my 50th Party!  All eyes on you as you entered the room  playing Hawaii 5 O theme music - what an entrance - and you certainly had our guests entranced with your music and antics - so much so that some people  just wanted to watch and listen.  We have had so many calls and comments on what a great band you are, and where did we find you? Energy, vitality and humour all encompassed with music and fun, fun, fun!

Soul Kitchen played at our Wedding reception on 26th April 2008. Everybody at the reception thought the band were excellent.     Their playing ability, along with their ability to have a fantastic time both with the audience and themselves, made the evening a   very special occasion. The surprise 40th birthday party organised for me by my husband was one of the best night's of my life - one of the principal reasons it was such an out and out success was the amazing energy and great music provided by Soul Kitchen. This band had all my friends and relatives from my 12 year old daughter to my parents who are nearly 70 dancing all night long. Everyone who came raved about what a great night it was and more than anything what a fabulous band Soul Kitchen are. They are undoubtedly the best party band around!

We wanted to say what a fantastic evening you gave us and our wedding guests. We have seen Soul Kitchen a number of times and loved every minute so they were the obvious choice for our wedding. Having a range of ages at the wedding from the very young to older family members we hoped that everyone enjoyed themselves and they did. Everyone made a comment on how amazing they were and although some couldn't (or wouldn't) dance said how entertaining they were to watch. Thank you so much for your great performance at our end of season ball. The sign of a good band is how early they can get everyone up dancing and you guys had us there from the beginning all the way through until the end of the night!! The problem with writing Soul Kitchen a testimonial is that everyone who has them along to their event is completely bowled over and so every 'fantastic' 'great' 'amazing' has already been used to death!!

Anyway, how about, they add the pzzzazz to our Sparkle!? the perfect mix of visual interest, exciting musicianship, brilliant fun and 'I can't stop dancing till I drop feel!'   Works wonderfully for us!

May 2009 What a night!  The first and only choice of evening entertainment for our wedding was Soul Kitchen, as usual they didn't disappoint.  From the word go people were up dancing and singing along, tiny tots and oldies alike.  They provided a lively and fun party atmosphere, amazing many of our guests.  We had so many compliments on the choice of band, we'll be surprised if you're free at all this year!  A real first-class performance and party, thanks so much!!

Soul Kitchen played two long sets at our third Soul Night and everyone at Bures was thrilled with the band and the electric atmosphere they created inside our marquee.  Our tent was packed with dancers oblivious to the heavy rain outside as the seven piece group gave their energetic and enthusiastic take on the classic Soul repertoire and some disco favourites.

We all agreed that their appearance provided us with one of the most enjoyable evenings in the history of a festival now thirteen years old. Not only are the seven players in Soul Kitchen consummate musicians - they are also superb entertainers, too. The comment by BBC Radio Suffolk’s Stephen Foster that the group are “the best party band I’ve ever seen” is one we’ll willingly endorse.

Friendly people, too. It was easy to negotiate the format of the evening with  Andy (aka Bazzer The Jazzer) - after much head scratching we worked out how he got his stage name, although the origins of the stage moniker of his colleague Snoop Mary From The Dairy remain a puzzle! Most importantly, we liked their great reverence for all the timeless songs of the 60s/70s Soul era and their immaculate musicianship.

Getting married is, at the time, almost certainly the biggest day of most peoples lives so you want everything to go well, so that you and everyone can enjoy it for what it is..... probably the best party you'll ever go to! Soul Kitchen provided the music at our wedding and to say they were absolutely fantastic, does not really do them justice. From the moment they started playing to the minute they eventually finished the dance floor was packed. What they play appeals to everyone, and can be danced to by everyone. They clearly know their business and are very passionate about it. Exceptionally professional, clearly very talented and great fun - our guests are still raving about them a month on from the wedding!

Having been asked to recommend a band for the Musicians’ Union teaching conference entertainment evening dinner and dance I had only one band in mind.  Having seen Soul Kitchen on numerous occasions I knew they could deliver what was needed for a discerning audience. Quality soul music delivered with panache with a liberal smattering of humour ensured the dance floor was full from the off.  The following day delegates were heard to say ‘Wow, what a great band’. Soul Kitchen were subsequently booked to do the same at the Unions Biennial delegate conference.  Need I say more!
